Do You Lolli?

If you've been following along, you may remember I received a sample of Benefit's Lollitint in my most recent Ipsy bag.

Now, I love me some Benefit products, so I was definitely excited for this, but the bright shade made me a little bit nervous!

I finally worked up the nerve to try it out and I'm quite surprised that the shade is more of a wearable purple than I had thought.

My lips are naturally pigmented, so I did do two coats of the Lollitint and then had to follow up with a Pop Beauty pencil (also received previously from Ipsy) on top to get a pop of color. I also like to keep a lip gloss/balm/stick or some sort of product on hand when wearing the Lollitint on my lips since I find that it does tend to dry my lips out.

I used Fuschia Flirt- located on the right

You can just barely see the color on my cheeks. And between the stain & the lip crayon I used, there is a fun punch of color that lasts!

The full size Lollitint retails for around $30 and can be purchased from Birchbox, Sephora, Ulta.

Birchbox 2014 April

April BB brings us the theme of Rainy Days- cause we all know about April showers bringing May flowers, right?

Inside everyone's box this month was a tip card of something to do on a rainy day. Mine was tip #31, browsing for art for sale online. Actually, I have done that before (who knows if it was rain or shine) but it was really overwhelming to me. All the sites to look at, different sizes of canvases, and then finding out at the checkout there's an outrageous shipping fee to go along with it. For me, it didn't work out so well...

Here we have a little BB Aces card. Remember me telling you about this a few weeks ago? This is a little note about their VIP program and its perks.

My box!! I'm loving the blue tissue paper. For me, that's a happier, brighter version of rain :)

* Kind Earthy Grains Bar- Maple Pumpkin Seeds with Sea Salt
* Color Club Art Duo Pen
* Cynthia Rowley Beauty- Silver Eyeliner
* Madison Reed Color Enhancing Shampoo/Conditioner

I'm excited to try that eyeliner, but I just really don't know about the silver shade... what do you even do with that?!?

Join Birchbox! $10 per month gets you 4-5 sample products & sometimes they ARE full size!!

tarte Sale on HauteLook

I've been out today so I've been a little late checking my emails and am definitely late on posting this as a lot of the things I would have picked are already sold out, but HauteLook is having a sale on tarte Cosmetics until Monday 4/1/14 at 6am Pacific time!

I'm a fan of their Amazonian clay 12 hour blushes. This one featured is the color Buff. I've never tried that one, but it looks like a nice nude/bronze shade. The price is only $14 whereas they usually retail for $26.

Another goodie from tarte is the Lipsurgence hydrating lip creme. Here we have the shade Admired. Again, another I have not yet tried, but hey, for $12 versus the normal $24, it's something to think about.

There are still lots of products left to choose from and HauteLook usually will add a few new products to each event daily. Shipping is free on orders over $100. And you can earn credits on referrals.

On My Way Back to the Light Side

I had posted awhile back that I was *thinking* about the possibility of changing my hair back to blonde.

Well, I am on my way to that process!

This was actually taken a few weeks ago, when I had some highlights added in at my stylist's suggestion. I'm due to go back around the beginning of April and lighten up some more. Can't wait!

Do you guys lighten up for the warmer months??
